A VERY KIRTAN NEW YEAR 2024 annual fundraiser event
Sunday December 31st 5:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Bid fond adieu to 2024 and ring in 2025 with an inspiring combination of experiences at our annual New Year’s Eve fundraiser to support the Kula Kamala Foundation, a 501c3 organization.
Attendees can begin to arrive from 5:00 - 5:30 PM.
Festivities begin at 5:30 PM with a thoughtfully crafted vegan gluten-free dinner consisting of:
- Butternut Squash Soup - Nut Loaf with Mushroom Gravy - Wild Rice and Cider Cranberry Pilaf - Roasted Brussels Sprouts - Dessert Truffles
From 7:15 - 8:45 PM attendees will be guided in a themed hip openers Yin Yoga class led by SwaminiJi. Class will focus on long deep holds, with props, appropriate for all levels of practice. Class theme will revolve around resolving and releasing any pent up feelings about life during 2024, as well as honoring all the gifts the year brought. Postures will be on the floor. Yin class will be accompanied by readings from Rumi with gong and crystal bowl sound healing.
From 9:00 - 11:45 PM, we will have kirtan with a wonderful group of kirtan wallahs! Chanting the holy names repeatedly to invoke a deep sense of devotion, gratitude, and inspiration to fuel the coming year. SwaminiJi will provide a spiritual discourse on the intention we hold for the coming year and how the teachings of Yoga and Vedanta, and our spiritual connection, works to support our journey.
From 11:45 PM - 12:01 AM we will settle in for a meditative practice to carry the new year across the threshold, welcoming the promise of change, and the work and process that comes with it. The program will conclude at 12:30 AM.
We are looking forward to sharing this special evening with you.
Attendees should dress warmly and comfortably.
Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, or we have them here for you to use. We will provide any props needed for the Yin Yoga class.
